Professional 35mm Film Scanning

Need your 35mm film or slides scanned into beautiful digital copies? I'll professionally process your special pictures into archival-quality scans with the latest imaging technology!
I use high-end products like Plustek's Opticfilm 8100 scanner, Print File's archival storage pages for film, and professional cleaning supplies from B&H's catalog.
For software, I use Silverfast 8, Adobe Lightroom Classic, Negative Lab Pro, and Adobe Photoshop. I'm certified for both Adobe programs!
Every frame on the film gets gently cleaned and wiped with soft anti-static cloth, handled with protective gloves, and topped off with an air-blower (no canned air is used).
After scanning, each picture is converted into a positive image! If you choose the Deluxe Restoration upgrade, I use my years of color treatment and cinematic grading experience to get the very best results out of your film! White balance, exposure levels, color hues, detail, and curves in the contrast are all tailored one image at a time! I share these results with you, make final adjustments, and deliver to you.
All dust or scratches that are permanent on the film from the time of picture-taking or past handling are removed digitally in PS, retaining maximum detail and delivering stunning results!

Let's Do It!
You've shot some fantastic new photos, or have some old family memories you want to unravel, and can't wait to see them beyond just your photo book! While I don't have a darkroom to develop myself, if you do need your film developed, I use Bay Camera in Savannah, GA, and those charges are added to your order (it's very affordable at their shop, they process in 1-3 days).
Besides them, many labs around the US, big and small, still operate to this day!*
*Note! If you develop with mega size companies like CVS or Walgreens, make sure to ask for your negatives back, and you don't need digital scans!
Say "Negatives only" or "Dev Only".
The Exchange
Fill out the order form below! You can ship your film to me, or we can meet locally in Savannah, GA!
The Magic
After collecting your film, I will complete a low-res pre-scan of all the pictures to render previews. Using these previews, you can pick which frames you'd like fully scanned and whatever resolution any specific frame needs to be, if different than your main choice in the form. Next of course, as described at the top of the page, I clean and scan your film!
If also choosing Deluxe Restoration, I complete the color correction and grades, then send you copies of the images to show you the results of the color layout and ideal results in the exposure. This is done to make sure that the images are to your liking. I'll make the final round of adjustments so they're print-and-share ready! <3
If you're unsure if you want to use Deluxe Restoration for all the images from the beginning, or only want the service for specific images, that's totally fine! Check "Selecting specific frames later", and of course we can talk about it after the images are scanned and you can see them to choose. If Deluxe Restoration is chosen later, there's no need for me to rescan them since I already have the source files from the initial scan!
Returning
The film is cut into rows of 6 frames or less to fit the machine's film tray, and then the strips are packaged into a complementary Print File brand archival page (Style No. 35-7BXW).
To return your negatives, I will drop off the archival sheet to you locally (Savannah only), or mail it back to you (small fee). If you don't wish to have your negatives back, that's also an option, but definitely NOT recommended.
Digital files are stored on a website of your choosing and shared with you through email, iMessage, Whatsapp, however we're communicating! Download your full collection of the images ASAP!
